From Sandy to Yellowstone

Our Assistant Principal John Vincent recently went cycling to help the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).  In June, riders raised $1500.00 by attempting to ride from Sandy, Utah to West Yellowstone, more than 300 miles, in 24 hours or less.    On June 22 he biked 302.86 miles in 21 hours and 27 minutes, and finished just south of Island Park.  John does this ride in memory of his sister, Mary Vincent, who passed away from complications related to Juvenile Diabetes.

Mr. Quarnberg Thanks Band Parents

Mr. Quarnberg would like to thank the band parents for their volunteer efforts.  He said, “They have been selling fireworks in the Walmart parking lot on 9800 south, and have made almost $8,000.00 in commission from the sales.  There were 234 volunteer shifts, including overnight shifts, which needed to be filled.  Our parents stepped up and put in the hours necessary to provide funding for our band.  I love our parents. I was so impressed with the students and parents during the parade.  I was so proud to be the principal at CHHS because they looked and acted professional.  Our band knows how to have fun and when to turn on the heat to look great.”
