Musical Audition Notice

CRAZY FOR YOU

Singing & Acting Auditions

Sept. 6th & Sept. 7th, 2011

@ 2:45 p.m. in the Auditorium

Dance Auditions Sept. 8th, 2011

@ 6:00 a.m. on the Stage

Students must attend singing, acting

& dance auditions to be considered for parts.

What you need to be prepared:

* 16 Measures (Bars) of a song that showcases your vocal abilities.

* A minus track or accompanist to play your music for you.

* A prepared 1-2 minute long monologue that shows your acting skills.

What the Directors are looking for:

* A song that showcases your vocal ability, and performance of a character.

* A monologue that showcases your speaking, timing, action, and reaction skills. Something that shows emotion and character.

In dance we are looking for coordination, agility, and the ability to find rhythm and emotion.

For musicians, we look for those who can commit themselves to learning and practicing the music, while finding enjoyment in the mood and meaning behind the lyrics and notes.

Class of 2001 Reunion

We were visited by the class of 2001 on Saturday. The reunion was fantastic. What an amazing group of people! Stories and memories were shared of their great times at CHHS. It was nice to have you all back!

Fundraising Golf Tournament on September 16th

The Copper Hills High School Alumni Association will be holding a fundraising golf tournament on September 16th at the Glenmoor Golf Course in West Jordan. All profits from this event will go toward scholarships for CHHS students. The event will begin with a shotgun start at 7 am. All Copper Hills alumni, Business owners from the area, and West Jordan constituents are invited.

Class of 2001…..It Has Been 10 Years!

The Class of 2001′s 10-year reunion will be held on August 6th, at 6 p.m. @ CHHS. Tickets can be purchased for $25 online until August 3rd. Anyone without a ticket is invited to come and mingle.

Tennis Tryouts for Girls Starts August 1st

We have a new tennis coach this year and he is ready to make our tennis teams the best in the state! He has a ton of tennis teaching experience and is an amazing player himself. We were pretty lucky to snag him when we did. Tennis practice and tryouts for the girls will begin on Monday, August 1st, and will continue for two weeks from 4 to 6 p.m. We hope to see all you potential tennis stars there! Golf Tryouts For Boys On August 8th and 9th

Golf tryouts for the boys will be on August 8th at Mountain View Golf Course at 10:30 a.m., and August 9th at Glenmoor Golf Course at 11:30 a.m. Bring $7 for the green fee. Contact Coach Jensen or Mike Booth at Glemoor Golf Course if you have any questions.

Volleyball Tryouts
